Lauren is the amazing lady behind Lyra Studios where she creates elegant & luxurious brands for creatives in her graphic design work. She works with women-owned businesses to give them a high-end touch in their brand’s Show-it websites & collateral.

Lauren and I had worked together about a year and a half ago while I lived in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia. Since then her business has evolved, offering a set of new services, Lauren felt it was time to refresh her brand images. During this next brand session we concentrated on more behind the scenes images, along with images to promote her new design intensive.
Working at Contrast Studio in Richmond, Virginia
With me now being in the Washington D.C. area, we decided to meet half way in Richmond, Virginia. In order to produce images that were consistent with her last set, we selected Contrast Studio. Contrast Studio is owned by a fellow photographer and provided the clean background, with clean light, that I knew would work perfectly for the newest Lyra Studio images.

- Moodboard on the wall and in flatlays
- Design boards
- Designing on her ipad & computer
- Mixing in different textures
- Stock photography for use around her website and throughout social media

Adding Video to her brand session
During Lauren’s session, we also included other a la carte offerings: Video & Gifs. Throughout sessions, I always have clients actually moving while capturing still photographs…well all this movement can also be captured in video as well. This provided us with the opportunity to produce amazing video that was cohesive with the images I was creating. Lauren has since used these videos as social media content, as well as add interest to her website.
