During a headshot session I concentrate on your face, resulting in images that clearly show what you look like, while brand photography is more strategic & focuses on capturing images that reflect and promote a brand's identity, values, client experience, as well as your product/service. I believe high quality brand photography is so important because it’s usually one of the first ways that a client will interact with your business–whether they see your social media, website, or print marketing first–the thing that will most likely get their attention will be the images. During this first impression, you want to make one that represents the value and quality that you bring–setting you up to be an industry expert. I work very closely with many other marketing professionals and they say that their job, whether it be copywriting, graphic design, digital ads, just isn’t effective without high quality images.

Yes, of course you can incorporate your team! During your session we can make sure to capture your team collaborating as well as get headshots & group shots of your team together. Depending on how many individuals are on your team, a half day or full day session will be recommended.

I'll mainly be concentrating on YOU and your business!! I want to capture you in your element and you as a person. During your planning session, we will discuss your goals for the next 3-6 months and your client experience. From there we will develop a shoot plan that includes a shot list that will act as our game plan for our brand session together.

One of the best ways that you can get the most out of your brand session is to plan, a good plan ensures that you (and your team) and I are prepared going into your session so that we’re working as efficiently as possible and we get all the shots that you need. 

My goal with every session is to get you a very diverse gallery, the best way to do this is:
  • Bring as many props as you can that represent the work that you do, how you interact with your clients, & represent you and your lifestyle. This will ensure that we have a lot to do during your session
  • Change your clothing & hair so that you look different throughout your gallery
  • Pick a location that has a lot of different “looks” in a small area

   Absolutely! A few weeks prior to your brand session we schedule a virtual planning session. This is where we plan the activities that you’ll do, the clothing you’re planning to wear, ideas for a location, and all the details behind your photoshoot. This is YOUR session and I’m here to help you capture your vision.

Ahh yes, this is definitely something that we chat about in your session planning meeting, but this blog on Clothing for your Branding Session is a great place to start. My biggest tip is to find outfits that you're confident and comfortable in! Clothing is something that we use to add a lot of diversity into your gallery, we want you to look like you have this amazing photographer following you around…not like we captured it in one day. Think about the different hats that you wear as a business owner and ask yourself what you would be wearing in those instances while you’re building your wardrobe for your session. Depending on the length of your session, I recommend you put together about 10 outfits.

I have a whole checklist for you! But some basics that I'd recommend to bring to a session include makeup for touch ups, 5-10 outfits, shoes for each outfit, and props that you want to include in your session.

One that best suits your needs, shows off your brand, is authentic to the way your clients interact with you, gives context to your service or product. I typically recommend selecting a location that provides us a lot of variety in a close area. Here are some of my favorite places to shoot in the Huntsville area.

Yes, I will come to your session with my lighting equipment to ensure that your photos are lit correctly.

A commercial license is included in your session to use your images for digital and print marketing purposes. 

13. I can’t wait…when will I get to see my images for the first time?

This is the best part! Two weeks after your session we will meet (virtual meetings available) and this is when you will see your full proofing gallery for the first time, this will include about 100 images (could be more if you booked a longer session). I will help you through the process of selecting your favorite images, choose those that were included in your session fee, and (if you wish) place an order for your additional images. If you wish to forgo a post-session meeting, I will send over a proofing gallery. 
As soon as you select your images, I’ll do my final edits & get you a final download gallery within 2 business days.

Depending on the package type you selected, you may be receiving web-ready and/or high-resolution images. Details for each session type can be found here. Additional images and file types are available for purchase following your session. Your images will be delivered via an online download gallery.

Yes, both! High resolution images can be used for large print + digital marketing. Web-ready images are optimized for websites, social media, and small print marketing. If your session doesn’t include high-resolution images, they are available for purchase as a full gallery or individual images following your session.

Yes! Travel fees typically usually consist of hotel, flight, car, and a $50 per diem. If you would like me to put together a custom travel proposal for you, please inquire. Travel fees are due upon booking. I typically book travel about 30-45 days prior to your session.
