At Kia & Co., we’re all about simplifying the DIY process and helping our clients showcase their value through cohesive imagery. Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Tidewater & Tulle on a project that perfectly encapsulates our approach to DIY process content creation.
Working with Chelsea Barton, Tidewater & Tulle’s editor-in-chief, is always a breeze. She’s organized, communicates effectively, and truly understands the vision behind each project. From creating the creative brief to coordinating with Craftcuts, Chelsea ensured that every detail was covered for this DIY process content creation photo session. A video meeting to review the materials and discuss the creative direction helped align our vision for the shoot.
As this was a DIY tutorial, capturing every step of the process was crucial. I focused on shooting both horizontal and vertical images to cater to Tidewater & Tulle’s blog post & social media needs. One unique challenge was incorporating my hands into the shots to provide context for each step. Yes, you read that right – I even had to use my toes to trigger the camera at times!
I made sure to include the following shots for this DIY product shoot:
Take a look at the images that resulted from the shoot. Please make sure to check out how the team at Tidewater & Tulle used them in the collaboration post for Craftcuts, 3 EASY DIY WAYS TO MAKE ARCH TABLE NUMBERS WITH CRAFTCUTS.
