Tidewater & Tulle | DIY Product Tutorial for Content Creator/Online Publication

As a 3 month collaboration with Craftcuts, this was our next diy project that I was shooting as Tidewater and Tulle’s U.S. based team photographer. Using Craftcuts’ MDF and acrylic materials, we created a DIY alternative to a wedding guest book during this coastal themed session. Here’s the project that we worked on in January.

Planning process

The planning process for this project was no different than the last. Chelsea sent over an amazing creative brief where she outlined the look and feel of the shoot, all the materials that were needed, and the specific shots that would be needed for the project. The creative team at Craftcut made sure that I had all their materials on hand, but those that I didn’t have (specific glue & markers), Chelsea made sure to have them sent straight to my doorstep.

Shoot day

Knowing that the editorial team at Tidewater & Tulle and Craftcuts would be using the images on their blog and social media, I knew I would need to capture the images in both landscape and portrait orientation.

Here are the shots that I made sure to include for this DIY project shoot:

  • Summary image of all the materials used for the project
  • Each step of the process in context of the materials used in the specific step
  • Resulting project and how the alternative guest book would be used at a wedding
  • Resulting project and how the alternative guest book would be displayed in their home as decor

Take a look at the images that resulted from the shoot. Please make sure to check out how the team at Tidewater & Tulle used them in the collaboration post for Craftcuts, HOW TO MAKE AN ALTERNATIVE GUEST BOOK WITH YOUR HOMETOWN STATE AND CRAFTCUTS.
