The Tennessee Valley Authority brought team members from Chattanooga, Nashville, Mississippi, Murfreesboro, and Huntsville to Downtown Huntsville for their annual meeting at the Embassy Suites. With everyone finally in the same place, their marketing team saw an opportunity: update headshots across the entire organization with imagery that felt cohesive, human, and aligned with their brand values.

Large organizations often struggle with scattered or outdated headshots—different backgrounds, inconsistent lighting, and portraits taken years apart. TVA wanted to shift that narrative by giving their team a modern, unified look that strengthens trust across departments and community relationships.

When a company of TVA’s scale invests in consistent headshots, the benefits ripple far beyond profile pages:

When people can see the faces behind the work, relationships deepen. Confidence grows. Collaboration becomes easier.
TVA’s marketing manager gravitated toward lifestyle-style headshots—natural light, relaxed posing, and a warmth that felt approachable and real. She wanted portraits that felt like the people behind the roles, not stiff corporate snapshots.

With the Embassy Suites located steps from beautiful outdoor spaces in Downtown Huntsville, we planned for each headshot to be photographed outdoors in flattering, consistent natural light.

Employees were able to step out for their portraits at any point during the day-and-a-half meeting, creating a seamless, low-stress flow that fit naturally into the event schedule.

Each TVA team member received simple guidance to help them feel comfortable and confident. The natural-light setting offered a consistent visual tone while allowing each person’s personality to come through.

By the end of the meeting, TVA left with a complete collection of professional, natural-light headshots—aligned, cohesive, and reflective of the people who make the organization run.
