Sheree Harvest is a black woman-owned and operated private boutique winery located near Washington, DC in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Their boutique winery is dedicated to crafting small batch high quality premium wines of grapes sourced from all over the world.
Sheree Harvest was looking to overhaul their product photography on the website to match the brand they were seeking. LaToya chose my Storefront kit which included the basic images that she would need to outfit her website.
When LaToya described to me the look that she was after, she told me she had visions of a romantic date night. She wanted her images to embody the lifestyle surrounding her wine, with dark moody images and props that would compliment her wine.
When I sent her a proposal with inspiration images, they all included dark backgrounds and props with dark earthy tones.
I wanted to make sure that we kept the wine centric to the image, but put it in context of the lifestyle that we were trying to portray. When sourcing props from my own collection and shopping, I kept the dark tones in mind, while also keeping in mind the different foods that complimented wine. Because the primary focus of this shoot was for website images, we needed to make sure that LaToya had all the images that are necessary for an e-commerce website. I created her the following images:
