Meet the Client: A Multi-Purpose Property with One Goal

Placemakr’s Anthem House property in MidCity Huntsville needed a gallery of images that could support its unique identity as a hybrid: part hotel, part short-term corporate stay, part long-term residential community. Their marketing team sought visuals that elevated the story of what it feels like to live, work, and unwind on-site—without drawing attention to the people themselves. The focus was the space, the amenities, and the flexibility the property offers across guest types and lengths of stay.

Planning the Session: A Strategic, Logistics-Led Approach

Working directly with the Placemakr marketing team, we used their detailed shot list to build a highly intentional flow for the session. Every space needed to be shown in a way that felt inviting and functional, with models present only to give scale, context, and lifestyle cues.

To support a lifestyle-forward approach, I brought curated props to match the various activities captured throughout the amenities: Huntsville magazines, cookware, work tools, blankets, drinks, books, a pool bag, makeup tools, takeout containers, and a suitcase. The models also arrived with a range of neutral, soft, business-casual outfits that aligned with Placemakr’s wardrobe inspiration, helping each scene feel authentic to the Anthem House experience.

The Experience: People-in-Space Storytelling

Our session unfolded in two stages: static imagery of the amenities, followed by contextual lifestyle scenes. The models were intentionally secondary—small in frame—allowing the eye to land on the spaces first while still illustrating how residents and guests might naturally use them.

From the conference rooms and coworking nooks to the outdoor courtyard, pool deck, lounge areas, and in-unit living spaces, we focused on capturing functionality: working, relaxing, cooking, gathering, arriving, and unwinding. By emphasizing movement, utility, and atmosphere, the images reveal the rhythm of everyday life at Anthem House.
