In the world of stationery, branding and business marketing collateral, clients don’t just buy a design—they invest in a story, a partnership, and a visual voice that reflects their values. For graphic designer Jacki Gil, her two thriving brands—Salt + Paperie and Jacki Gil Design—carry deep personal significance. Based in North Alabama, Jacki serves entrepreneurs who understand that elevated design drives meaningful engagement.

She already had strong work to show, but the missing piece was the human moment: capturing her day-to-day, her personality, her passions. That’s where her brand refresh with Kia & Co. stepped in—to reveal not just the pieces she designs, but the person behind them.
Our goal together was clear: create a lifestyle-rich brand photography session that blends Jacki’s professional design world with her personal favorites—pins, runDisney medals, her workstation, and the things she loves. These images would become the heartbeat of her social media feed, allowing her audience to see the designer and the design.
We planned a multi-layer approach:
Mixing in product/portfolio images (stationery suites, business collateral) but intentionally fewer—because the richer story lies in the person behind the work.

On the day, the atmosphere shifted. Instead of a traditional head-shot or product-only shoot, we immersed ourselves in Jacki’s creative rhythm. We captured her selecting pins mid-design, grabbing a medal for inspiration, and reviewing collaterals with intent. The environment felt like “a day in the designer’s life” rather than “posing for the brand shoot.”

Because we worked together with thoughtful direction and gentle prompts, the session became collaborative. Jacki’s comfort, authenticity and joy came through in every image. The result? A suite of visuals that breathe life into her brands—not just showing what she does, but who she is.
Now, Jacki has a refreshed visual library she can use across social media, her website, and future marketing materials. Her audience doesn’t just see stationery or final designs—they see the creative mind shaping them, the hands behind every brand, and the personality that makes her work unmistakable.
Midway through reviewing her gallery, Jacki shared something that perfectly captured the heart of this session: “It was so nice being able to relax and trust the person behind the camera to showcase my work and share my story. I desperately needed updated working shots, and now I feel like I finally have a plethora of images to help tell my stories.”
That transformation is what this brand refresh was created for—giving her not only variety, but visibility; not only content, but confidence. With these images, Jacki steps into her next chapter with a visual presence that matches the depth, talent, and joy she brings to her clients. Her brand no longer relies on repetition—she now has a gallery that evolves with her.
