You know you need a headshot.
But what actually happens after you book?
Whether you’re rebranding, updating your LinkedIn, or just finally crossing “new headshot” off your to-do list, I know that stepping in front of the camera can feel… a little intimidating. That’s why I’ve designed every Kia & Co. headshot session to be as easy, efficient, and (yes!) enjoyable as possible—from start to finish.
Let’s break it down so you know exactly what to expect.
Step 1: Booking Is Simple—and So Is the Prep
Once you select your session time and location, I’ll send over everything you need to feel fully prepped and confident. That includes wardrobe tips, what to bring, and how to think through your outfit options based on your brand, audience, and personality.
Not sure what background or vibe makes sense? I’ve got you. We’ll make sure your images align with how you want to show up in your business.
Step 2: Shoot Day—Quick, Comfortable, and Confidence-Boosting
Headshot sessions are short and sweet—typically around 20 minutes. Just enough time to get you warmed up, relaxed, and looking like your best self without feeling over-posed or overwhelmed.
We’ll shoot one main outfit, and if you’ve brought a jacket or layering piece, we’ll capture a quick second look too (think: blazer on, blazer off—instant variety). I’ll guide you through every pose and expression so nothing feels awkward or forced.
And don’t worry—I’ll tell you what to do with your hands.
Step 3: After the Shoot—Fast Turnaround and Final Edits
A few days after your session, you’ll receive a digital proofing gallery. That’s where you’ll choose your favorite images—the ones that feel the most “you.”
Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll deliver your final edited headshots via a digital download link. I keep my edits natural and polished: true-to-life skin tones, clean backgrounds, light skin retouching, and removal of any distractions that might pull attention from you.
Your images will be ready to use across your website, LinkedIn, speaker bios, and anywhere else your brand lives online.
