My Stylish Event | Washington D.C. Event Planner Brand Session

Ebony is the owner of My Stylish Event, a full-service wedding event designer & planner that is based out of Southern Maryland & serves the Greater Washington D.C. area. In the process of rebranding her business, she was seeking to have images that highlighted her style & the work that she can create.

When talking with Ebony, she expressed her need for images that she could use immediately & not wait for submission to a publication. As a former wedding photographer, I knew exactly the shots she needed, but with a branding twist, and I had no want to have the shoot published. Her styled wedding shoot…then became a brand session. It was perfect that she was already planning to have pretty things at the shoot–tablescape, bride, dress, and florals!

As a wedding planner, clients want to see you interacting as you do on a wedding day. My goal for Ebony was to capture her interacting with the event and the bride just as she would at an actual event. I captured her doing things like setting up the reception, helping the bride get ready, thinking about all the minute details, & even helping the bride with her gown (if that’s not a wedding planner image, I don’t know what is!).

In her free time, Gari-Ann enjoys giving back to her community by supporting fellow military spouses & their families and mentoring other small business owners.
