Maria is a social media manager for wedding professionals and realtors. Her business SMS Media is based in the Washington D.C. area. For months, Maria and I have worked together with different clients, me doing their branding images & her working on their social media strategy, as well as teaching me different things about the world of social media through her course. Throughout all of these amazing interactions, we had not met in person till  her session…but we didn’t skip a beat!

For her branding session, we wanted to present Maria as the professional that she truly is, but in a relaxed way. Showing her spunky personality, cool style, & true knowledge about her industry, we selected a location in Arlington, Virginia that would give us diverse looks in a small area. Using some of her go-to work tools, we showed her in action while keeping her in an environment that showcased the lifestyle that she seeks for herself & for her clients…flexibility, professionalism, & success. 

Chatting about the ways Maria would use her images, made sure to shoot them specifically for her purposes. I created many images that have a lot of white space, leaving her room to add text in stories, as well as shooting them in a portrait orientation for use on Instagram.
