When planning for your product shoot, there are a few different kinds of product photography shots that we can plan for, they all have their place and purpose depending on the project that you’re working on–e-commerce website, social media, print marketing, etc. You’re seeking to attract your ideal customer and show your audience exactly who you are, what you can really do, and how amazing your product/service is. In this blog post, I’ve included explanations of each type along with examples.
These shots are meant for the primary image of an e-commerce website. These images should have a clean, consistent layout. Images should be consistent in size, scale, style, & background.
These shots are secondary & complimentary product shots that show close up details of products. Macro shots are usually used for small objects like jewelry, but can be used to show texture and specific details of your product.
Stylized shots are images of your products using props to compliment and show context.
