It was Fall and Amy already had her Spring 2023 line already designed! This is the life of a jewelry designer who sells to wholesale retailers. Grace Girl Beads needed to be ready with their newest line in early 2023 when their retailers were ready to purchase for the next season following the holiday season.
With each line, we start with an in-person session so that we can get the jewelry pieces on actual women. Amy does a great job of ensuring that we have different size women in her sessions so that clients have a great idea of what the jewelry will look like on themselves. This is also a great way to share ideas of how to style multiple pieces together, hopefully increasing someone’s cart total.
It is so evident when you compare our in-studio session with her in-person session, how important it is to have both types of images. The pieces can look so different on, especially in scale, than laid out on a studio product image.
Following our in-person product session, I bring each jewelry product into the studio. For the Grace Girl Beads studio jewelry images, I concentrate on the details of her pieces–charms, chains, clasps–and their finishes and texture. Our goal is to make sure when clients on her retail site or on a wholesale site, like Faire & Hubentory, have all their questions answered about each piece of jewelry without having to read the product description.
