Karen is the owner of The Cake House, a small batch, scratch bakery, that specializes in custom cakes for weddings and special events. This sweet little bakery is located in Smithfield, Virginia. Karen prides herself in the fact that The Cake House uses only high quality, super fresh ingredients–making for truly homemade goodies!
Branding Session Goals
Karen had been working with my great business friend of mine, Juliet, who owns Eckenfels Media on the redesign of her new website. Juliet had recommended to Karen that a professional branding session would be a great way to make sure that she had a consistent set of images to use on her website, making everything look cohesive. Throughout Karen’s branding session for The Cake House, we made sure to highlight all the different aspects of her business–custom cakes, items for case for walk in clients, her processes in the bakery, and consultations with clients.

Gari-Ann recently did branding photos for my bakery… the photos of both myself and my product came out beautifully. The photos were just really gorgeous and highlighted the best features of my products (and definitely made me look better than I was expecting!) Additionally, she went out of her way to fit in a block of time for the photo shoot that wasn’t exactly convenient for her but was what I needed based on my own schedule. Her professionalism on site and her timeliness in turning around the portfolio were as good as I could have hoped for.
